This NGO based in Knysna focuses on the continued conservation of the Knysna Estuary and surrounds, managing various research projects based in the Knysna Estuary and running educational programmes for the local community.
Ongoing research is used to manage and conserve the area.
Come and join the Knysna Basin Project team for an exploration of the Knysna Estuary. A team of volunteers are ready to introduce you to the various animals which reside in the waters of the Estuary and explain what makes it so unique.
A perfect day out for families with children – an ideal way of getting up close and curious to life in the sand and water of the estuary.
And following the tour, enjoy your picnic lunch in the Steenbok Nature Reserve on Leisure Isle which is a bonus attraction!
